With a team of more than 4,000 employees, the company is actively present across the entire value chain of China’s energy industry. TotalEnergies is constantly developing new business opportunities with Chinese partners both in China and globally.
Innovation in China and for the World
As one of the Top 100 Global Innovators, TotalEnergies invests 10% of its annual R&D budget in carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) technologies. We led the CHEERS project, partnering to build the world’s largest CLC pilot facility in China, with a capacity of 3 MW.
In the digital space, we operate one of the fastest enterprise-class supercomputers globally and have established a digital factory to drive innovation in energy digitalization. Together with Chinese partners, we are developing high-precision chemical simulation processes to pursue greater operational efficiency and excellence.
We are strategically active in cutting-edge fields such as new materials, nanotechnology, and smart mobility, while continuously monitoring and investing in frontier technologies to support sustainable development and maintain a technological edge. The Company also collaborates with the Chinese Academy of Sciences to co-develop the next generation of biofuels and biochemical products.
